Jindrich Halabala

Jindřich Halabala was a Czech industrial designer, writer, and educator as well as a significant proponent of modernist, industrially manufactured furniture in Czechoslovakia. The H-269 Lounge Chair, instantly recognizable for its exaggerated, curved armrests is arguably the most well-known Czech design, featuring bentwood as in many other of his designs.
