Designed by Patricia Urquiola, Rondos is a design chest of drawers with soft, rounded contours that curve gracefully around the sides, lending an informal and very inviting air to the living room and the bedroom.
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain in 1961. She attended the University of Architecture at Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. In 2001 she opened her own studio working on product design, architecture, and installations. Patricia's works can be seen in various Museums such as MoMA in New York, Les arts decoratifs in Paris and Museum of Design in Zurich among others. She has won several international prizes and awards including “Designer of the decade” for two German magazines. In September 2015 Patricia Urquiola nominated Art Director of Cassina.
Cassina was established in 1927 in the Northern region of Brianza, Italy, an area noted for its skilled artisans and woodworkers. Use and Care: Always avoid the use of products that contain acetone, ammonia, chlorine or solvents, abrasive products and furniture wax. Use a soft cloth to remove dust. We recommend that only wood-specific products be used on wood surfaces. Great care must be taken to avoid scratching the surface. Exposure to direct sunlight can alter the colour of wood and lacquer.
