Tobia Scarpa was born Venice in 1935. He is the son of famed architect Carlo Scarpa. Together, they created works for companies such as Flos, Cassina, B&B Italia and Knoll. Their work ranged from glass, furniture, and lighting design to interiors and architecture.
Cassina was established in 1927 in the Northern region of Brianza, Italy, an area noted for its skilled artisans and woodworkers. Rooted in high quality Italian craftsmanship Cassina began acquiring licenses to reproduce some of the world’s most well renowned furniture designs.
