Belgian Industrial Designer, Michael Verheyden was quoted in the New York Times, saying, "I’m not a New-Age-y guy, but it’s something I strive for, to be very Zen." He prefers to use precious, natural materials, because of their longevity. He believes that natural materials age beautifully over time. Most recently he started using leather, wood and crystal.
His elegant collection of house wares and accessories achieves just that. The simplistic designs showcase every nuance of the raw material, adding a respite and a moment of Zen to any atmosphere.
