This beautiful and rare table is 47” inches in diameter. It is beautifully carved and finished with a rounded edge. The base and height adjusting bar are an enameled steel with a brass detail.
Osvaldo Borsani Swiss-Italian, 1911-1985
Osvaldo Borsani was the son of furniture craftsman Gaetano Borsani, he joined the family business as a furniture designer after completing his degree at the Politecnico di Milano. Throughout the 1940's and early 50's, Borsani produced a large body of work including case goods, storage pieces, and seating. In 1953, Osvaldo and his twin brother Fulgencio founded a firm called Tecno. Tecno was at the forefront of a post-war design movement by promoting luxury furnishings influenced by technological innovation and integrating industrial materials such as steel and rubber.
